Strategic development of new appointments in the associated institutions promote CECAD’s goals

Construction of the CECAD Research Center

  • Principals: The University of Cologne and the Cologne University Hospital
  • Financing: Federal government and the State of North Rhine-Westphalia
  • Construction volume: EUR 100 million

  • A research center, centrally located on the hospital campus – for rapid communication channels and efficient working processes
  • Central service facilities, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, to support scientists in the Cluster
  • Identical construction of all laboratory floors to promote intensive communication as a major prerequisite for interdisciplinary research
  • Equipment that allows close collaboration between clinical and basic research groups
  • Modern laboratory facilities within easy reach, divided into laboratory and documentation zones
