to the 13th "Women in Science and Society" lecture with Susan Wray from the Institute of Translational Medicine, University of Liverpool on 

May 9th in the CECAD lecture hall.

During this lecture series international outstanding female scientist are invited to present one scientific lecture on their recent scientific work. A second public lecture focusses on personal scientific career paths, gender and/or family related issues and what kind of problems might be encountered in combining academia with a private/family life. The lecture series addresses concepts to encourage female scientists and young scientists with families to continue on the academic career path.

WISAS program 

1.30 pm with the scientific lecture on "Hypoxia in the uterus - something old and something new"

3.00 pm coffee meeting with junior female scientists

5.00 pm the society lecture: "Women in Science - we will survive and thrive"

Please note that the society lecture should not be misunderstood as a "Women only lecture". It rather addresses social, political and work-life-balance aspects of the country and institute of the speaker!

6.00 pm Wine reception
